My Story…
I come from a long line of Nordic healers, seers and medicine women. With their epic height and long white hair, their herbal tinctures and sacred chants, they work with me and through me. Laughing, and bright, I hear them from the other realm, reminding me often, “this work you do, we did it for eons! It is in your blood and bones, child.” They are very down to earth and they remind me that bridging material life with the spirit world is 100% natural and part of keeping life in balance.
More about my background…
My personal journey started at the age of 13 my clairvoyance and healing channel opened. I dreamed I was in the Amazon rainforest. I saw myself bare skinned in the verdant jungle, and when I awoke I was struck by a deep sense of having an indigenous connection to nature and spirit. Many years later when I was at Naropa University, my calling for nature based teachings was ignited. Malidoma Somé came from Africa teaching of the healing power of sacred ritual and the importance of rites of passage, I spent a year studying with him and partaking in the powerful healing rituals of earth, nature, fire and mineral. I was told early on that each one of us carries within us an inherent life-purpose, and that my personal gift was that of a world bridger - one who communicates between the worlds of spirit and matter. Over decades I traveled to Brazil and beyond to work with spiritual elders, where my abilities as a "curandera" were affirmed and I was trained in indigenous healing technologies, shamanic work, and ancient teachings of Divine Feminine embodiment.
My studies at Naropa University included somatic psychology, neuroscience and trauma studies, mindfulness meditation and the healing power of creative process (dance, music and theater).
For the past 5 years I have mentored with Dr. Rabbi Tirzah Firestone deepening my knowledge of dreamwork, depth psychology and healing inter-generational trauma.
I have two collections of transformational healing songs: Mother of the Waters and Mother of Roses, in both English and Portuguese. These songs have the power to transmute, clear, heal and call in spiritual guides. I work with clients internationally including New York and the greater U.S., Brazil, and Europe, where I live in Florence, Italy. I am ardently devoted to my two young-adult children, 17 and 21. For fun I play guitar, write songs and poetry, dance, spend time in nature and hang out with friends. I look forward to discovering our work together!
